Isle of Dogs (PG) 12pm – 1.45pm

  • An outbreak of dog flu has spread through the city of Megasaki, Japan, and Mayor Kobayashi has demanded all dogs to be sent to Trash Island. On the island, a young boy named Atari sets out to find his lost dog, Spots, with the help of five other dogs… with many obstacles along the way. (1h 45m)

 

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (U) 3.30pm – 5.30pm

  • It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. (1h 47m)

 

Ghostbusters (12A) 7.30pm – 9.30pm

  • Paranormal researcher Abby Yates and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out. Armed with proton packs and plenty of attitude, the four women prepare for an epic battle as more than 1,000 mischievous ghouls descend on Times Square. (1h 45m)

 


 

Fullerians RFC in Watford – Free Fun & Multisport Sessions.

 

Come along to Fullerians RFC in Watford every Tuesday night from 6.30pm to 7.30pm throughout the school summer holidays. (23rd July – 27th August)

They welcome children (boys and girls) aged 5 to 12 years old for FREE summer fun & multi-sport sessions.

The children can stay active, make new friends and have fun all in the fresh air in a safe environment with their RFU & DBS qualified coaches.

Children will be able to take part in a number of different sports, including touch rugby, football, rounders, cricket and relay races.

Parents or guardians are required to stay during the sessions and you can take advantage of their bar being open and watching from the patio in the summer evening weather.

Cassiobury Farm and Fishery – Open Days

 

Cassiobury Farm and Fishery  Open Days are running throughout the summer, the next is Saturday  Thursday 8th August, with more on Saturday 17th August, Thursday 22nd August and Saturday 31st August.

You can either order on-line (by scrolling down to the day you wish to visit them on, by clicking on the following link) http://www.cassioburyfarm.co.uk/open-days-events/ or simply by purchasing tickets at the gate on the day.

They accept cash and credit cards on the gate. Prices are the same whether ordered on-line or at the gate, but there is a fast track entrance for those with on-line tickets so access is quicker.

Access to the Farm is on-foot only. The Cassiobury Park website gives the best information for parking and public transport. http://cassioburypark.info/directions-to-cassiobury-park/

There is on-site parking for blue-badge disabled drivers. No pre-booking is necessary. Access the Farm via Rousebarn Lane (use postcode WD3 3GD).  No dogs, other than guide dogs, are allowed on-site.

You can leave and return during the day if you wish.  Just ask the gate to stamp your hand.

Gates open at 10:00am. Last entry is 4:00pm and the Farm closes at 5:00pm.

Hotel Transylvania: Summer Vacation (U) 3.30pm – 5.15pm

  • Mavis surprises Dracula with a family voyage on a luxury Monster Cruise Ship so he can take a vacation from providing everyone else’s vacation at the hotel. The rest of Drac’s Pack cannot resist going along. But once they leave port, romance arises when Dracula meets the mysterious ship Captain, Ericka. Now it’s Mavis’ turn to play the overprotective parent, keeping her dad and Ericka apart. Little do they know that his “too good to be true” love interest is actually a descendant of Abraham Van Helsing, ancient nemesis to Dracula and all other monsters. (1h 37m)

Meriden Community Day

 

Come along to the Meriden Community Centre for a fun free afternoon on Friday 30th August from 12pm – 3pm.

There will be lots to see and do including;

Mary Poppins Returns (PG) 3.30pm – 5.45pm

  • (SUBTITLED) In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael’s three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. (2h 10m)

 

The Greatest Showman(PG) 7pm – 9pm

  • Orphaned, penniless but ambitious and with a mind crammed with imagination and fresh ideas, the American Phineas Taylor Barnum will always be remembered as the man with the gift to effortlessly blur the line between reality and fiction. Thirsty for innovation and hungry for success, the son of a tailor will manage to open a wax museum but will soon shift focus to the unique and peculiar, introducing extraordinary, never-seen-before live acts on the circus stage. Some will call Barnum’s wide collection of oddities, a freak show; however, when the obsessed showman gambles everything on the opera singer Jenny Lind to appeal to a high-brow audience, he will somehow lose sight of the most important aspect of his life: his family. Watford Football Club – Match Day Parking

 

Watford Football Club have a home match on Saturday 10th August against Brighton & Hove Albion (Kick off 3pm).   Parking restrictions will be enforced and traffic delays can be expected before and after the match.

The police will close of the section of Vicarage Road, between the junction with Fearnley Street and the junction with Harwoods Road.  This will be for a short period before and after the match.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 (12A) 3.30pm – 5.30pm

  • After saving Xandar from Ronan’s wrath, the Guardians are now recognized as heroes.  Now the team must help their leader Star Lord uncover the truth behind his true heritage.  Along the way, old foes turn to allies and betrayal is blooming.  And the Guardians find that they are up against a devastating new menace who is out to rule the galaxy.   • Prince T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new king.  However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country.  When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakandan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war. (2h 15m)
