St John’s Community Christmas Lunch

 

Fr David would love to welcome you to have Christmas Dinner with him at this special time of the year, on Wednesday 25th December from 12.30pm – 3pm.  Those who find themselves on their own this Christmas are particularly welcome.

St Luke’s Christmas Fayre

 

St Luke’s annual Christmas Fayre in aid of the Peace Hospice will take place on Saturday 7th December 1pm-4pm.

There will be various stalls including Cakes, Arts & Crafts, Toys, Plants, Books, Gifts, and Tombola.

You can enjoy listening to music, participate in games and enjoy afternoon tea.


 

Cassiobury Park miniature Christmas Trains

 

Christmas Trains is hosted by Watford Miniature Railway, and will run for one day only; Sunday 8th December from 12 noon – 4pm, in Cassiobury Park.

Rudolf the reindeer, Frosty the snowman and the North Pole Elves will all be coming to help run the railway for the day at this ‘Christmas at Cassiobury’ event.

Trains running 12pm – 4pm, normal fares of £2 per person.


 

Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour

 

Holidays are Coming… The iconic Coac-Cola Christmas truck tour will be back for 2019, spreading holiday magic across UK!

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour returns on Wednesday 4th December at Asda, Watford from 12 noon – 7pm, with a very special partner: Crisis, the national homelessness charity.

Visit the truck in a glittering winter wonderland setting and enjoy festive photo moments – and a 150ml Coca-Cola zero sugar to help you get in the Christmas spirit.


 

Christmas Charity Gift Wrapping

 

Love shopping but hate the thought of wrapping gifts?  Christmas Charity Gift Wrapping, hosted by Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary is for you!

On Saturday 7th December from 9am – 8pm, you’ll be able to get your Christmas gifts wrapped at INTU Watford, whilst raising much needed funds for the Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary. All donations are welcome.

  • Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary aims to relieve the suffering of equines, who may be old, neglected, abandoned or otherwise, in need of care and attention. We aim to provide and maintain rescue homes and other facilities for the care and treatment of such equines.

You will find them on the lower mall outside M&S (right next to their colour-changing charity Christmas tree!)


 

Christmas at Cassiobury Park Hub

 

Join this Christmas craft activities for families at the Hub on Sunday 8th December, from 1pm – 4pm They will be making Xmas decoration and write /post your letter to Santa. Plus face painting.

Enjoy FREE performances from Centre Stars, Trinity Swing band and One Voice Choir to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Christmas Carols in Leavesden Country Park

 

An evening of Christmas Carols on Wednesday 11th December from 6pm with the Dacorum Community Choir.

Meet outside the Leavesden H.I.V.E, which will be open for mulled wine and mince pies.


 

Sunday Walk & Talk

 

Meet at the Cha Cafe on Sunday 24th November at 1pm for this Sunday walk and talk and enjoy the adventure from there.

You can pace yourself, stick around for half an hour or go all the way. They suggest you have a brunch or an early lunch, or take snacks and water with you. They may also end up having lunch together after the walk.

These events are informal and relaxed, inclusive and open to all, created to provide a regular chance for people to meet others in the community in a different way; on a walk in nature.

No agenda other than to enjoy conversations and other people’s company and get to know each other. At these community events, you’ll find yourself in a friendly atmosphere with other local people.
