Winter Wildfowl Walk

 

This guided walk is a great opportunity to see Winter Wildfowl in their habitat and to find out more about them.

Join this FREE Winter Wildfowl Walk at Rickmansworth Aquadrome on Sunday 15th December from 10am – 12 noon.

Bring your binoculars, as you will be on the look out for the more common visitors to our local winter havens and maybe spot some occasional visitors.

All ages welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Carol Concert at Into Watford

 

Carol Concert at Into Watford is hosted by New Hope on Thursday 12th December from 4pm 8pm.

Featuring Ian and friends (on the djembe), One Voice Community Choir, Sacred Heart School and Holy Rood School.

Festive Family Day

 

Come along to Watford Museum on Saturday 14th December from 10:30 am – 4pm and join in on some festive family fun!

There’ll be lots of activities taking place to occupy children of all ages, from face painting to tree tassel decorating.


 

National Animal Welfare Trust Christmas Market

 

The National Animal Welfare Trust have their Christmas Market event on Sunday 1st December from 11am- 3pm.

They will have lots of fun stalls with loads of goodies for all the family as well as gifts for Christmas.  Dogs are welcome too!

 

Santa will be there so make sure that you pop in to see him.

Please park at the Mercure hotel where parking is free but please ensure you register your car in the Mercure Reception when you arrive, in order to avoid a parking fine.


 

Lights of Love

 

At Peace Hospice Care, they know the importance of honouring the memory of loved ones. They hope you will find comfort in being part of our Lights of Love commemorations.  The ceremony is on Tuesday 10th December – outside Watford Town Hall (7pm for 7.30pm).

This event is open to the whole community – with readings, music, refreshments and the chance to dedicate a light as they switch on the Lights of Love tree.

Come along to the Little Gallery Tearoom at Watford Museum Saturday 7th December from 10.30am to 4pm where you can relax with fairtrade hot drinks and homemade cakes.

There will also be an exhibition by Dominique Parker selling hand made bags and decorations.

Parmiter’s School Christmas Gift Fair Saturday 23rd NovemberThe Parmiter’s School Christmas Gift Fair is a very successful and popular annual event for those looking for gifts with over 70 professional stalls.

They have a variety of stalls ranging from fashion & vintage jewellery, handmade wood & slate products, candles, nail wraps, scarves,hats & gloves, bottle lamps & gifts, stocking fillers, handmade fabric crafts & cards,jams & chutneys, handmade furry toys and much more.

Come along and have a browse and pick up some great presents for the family. There will be a chocolate and toy tombola for the children and a bottle tombola for the adults. Their Grand raffle is also an opportunity to win some fantastic prizes.

The fair will be open from 11am – 4pm.  Hot food & refreshments together with mulled wine and mince pies will be available.
