Celebration of Dementia Carers

As part of Dementia Action Week, the Watford and WestHerts Chamber of Commerce are hosting a Celebration of Dementia Carers on Tuesday 21st May from 11am - 2pm at Watford Football Club, Vicarage Road.
Do you know any Dementia Carers in Watford and feel like they deserve a thanks for all the hard work and dedication they put into their work?
The unsung heroes of our community will be treated to lunch at Watford FC, given a tour of the football stadium and invited to give their views on how Watford can better support them and the people they look after.

There are 47 places available for this free event (as of today 11th May) and care provision is available for people with dementia.
The days timetable:
11:00: Guests arrive - tea and coffee served
11:30: Event opens – Peter Taylor
11:40: Watford Community Sports and Education Trust – Reminiscence Premiere League program
12:10: Christine Black – Resilience tips and tools and coping with care
13.10: Lunch and entertainment (maybe Electric Umbrella if appropriate or school kids singing)
13:40: Meet ups – get to know other carers
14:15: Close
