Cassiobury Stay and Play

 

Cassiobury Stay and Play is run by volunteers and offers free play time activities for babies and toddlers. It takes place in the education room at the Cassiobury Hub (above the spash pools), on Wednesday 3rd April from 10am – 11.30am.

There is a cafe on site if you wish to purchase tea, coffee or cake or you can bring your own child snacks.

Cost is free, but there is a suggested donation of £1 to help pay for resources.


 

Knit & Natter

 

Knit and Natter is for experienced knitters and absolute beginners.  It is being held on Wednesday 3rd April at North Watford Library St Albans Road, WD24 7RW from 1.30pm – 2.30pm.

 

Knit and Natter is held on the first Wednesday of every month at the library.  Get together to share your love of knitting and crocheting.

Singing by Heart

 

Singing by Heart, the Salvation Army dementia friendly singing group is back Tuesday 2nd April at their Church and Community Centre, 376a St Albans Road, WD24 6PJ.

Sessions are held on the first Tuesday of each month and the cost is £1.50 per person.

This programme is carefully designed for people living with dementia and their carers but anyone is welcome to join in.

The Living Room – Watford New Service Launch

 

The Living Room is an award winning addiction recovery charity with centres all over the country.  They are launching their Watford service on Monday 1st April at the Meriden Community Hub.

Come along for the official opening and ribbon ceremony which will be followed by light refreshments.

Once open the service will offer FREE daytime group counselling, peer support and workshop therapies.


 

Memory Cafe

 

Memory Cafe, hosted by Dementia Friendly Chorleywood and W3RT Getting Together hold this group every month from 10.30 am – 12.30pm at Sunrise of Chorleywood, High View, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5TQ.

They have stimulating activities, gentle exercise and most importantly, lots of FUN!

Also a separate space for carers to meet, chat and talk about their experiences, plus an opportunity to join the group for a session with a specialist psychotherapist who offers support and mindfulness techniques.

Come along and join them every month for a lot of chat, a lot of fun and a lot of memories.  A suggested contribution is £5.

Well Baby Clinic

 

The Well Baby Clinic is for parents and carers of children aged 0 – 5 years.  They meet every Thursday at 9.30am – 11am at Berrygrove Family Centre, Cow Lane, Watford.

The Well Baby Clinic is run by local Health Visitors and Family Centre staff.  It is a chance for you to weigh your baby, along with getting advice on feeding your baby, health and staying safe, parenting and getting support on your family’s health including breastfeeding.

Free Entry; no need to book, just turn up.


 

Trading Standards Scams Awareness Session in Watford

 

Hertfordshire Trading Standards are holding a ‘scams awareness session’ on Wednesday 20th March from 2.30pm – 3.30pm at Watford Central Library.

They will be giving practical advice on keeping yourself, family and neighbours safe from fraudsters in this scams awareness session.
