Christmas at Cassiobury Park Hub

 

Join this Christmas craft activities for families at the Hub on Sunday 8th December, from 1pm – 4pm They will be making Xmas decoration and write /post your letter to Santa. Plus face painting.

Enjoy FREE performances from Centre Stars, Trinity Swing band and One Voice Choir to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Christmas Carols in Leavesden Country Park

 

An evening of Christmas Carols on Wednesday 11th December from 6pm with the Dacorum Community Choir.

Meet outside the Leavesden H.I.V.E, which will be open for mulled wine and mince pies.


 

Sunday Walk & Talk

 

Meet at the Cha Cafe on Sunday 24th November at 1pm for this Sunday walk and talk and enjoy the adventure from there.

You can pace yourself, stick around for half an hour or go all the way. They suggest you have a brunch or an early lunch, or take snacks and water with you. They may also end up having lunch together after the walk.

These events are informal and relaxed, inclusive and open to all, created to provide a regular chance for people to meet others in the community in a different way; on a walk in nature.

No agenda other than to enjoy conversations and other people’s company and get to know each other. At these community events, you’ll find yourself in a friendly atmosphere with other local people.

Christmas Craft Fayre

 

Christmas Craft Fayre at St John’s Community Hall, Estcourt Road on Saturday 30th November, 10.30am to 2.30pm.

There will be mulled wine, mince pies, festive music, Santa’s Grotto and lots of interesting crafts and food on sale.


 

Random Cafe – Table Top Sale

 

The Random Cafe are holding a table top sale on Saturday November 16th at the Meriden Community Centre from 12 noon – 4pm.

You can book your table now! (£10 per table)

Drinks from 12 noon and food will be available from 1pm.


 

Knit and Natter

 

Knit and Natter is held on the first Wednesday of every month at North Watford Library for experienced knitters and absolute beginners.  Next meeting Wednesday 6th November from 1.30pm – 2.30pm.

Rag Rugging Workshop at Watford Museum

 

Introduction to traditional rag rugging at the Little Gallery Tearoom workshop on Saturday 2nd November from 1.30pm – 4.30pm at Watford Museum.

Create your own rag mat whilst finding an environmentally friendly alternative to putting old clothes in landfill.

This workshop is aimed at adults.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult.  £8 per person. Pay on the day. Booking essential.


 

Cassiobury Fireworks

 

Come along to Hertfordshire’s largest FREE firework display on Saturday 2nd NovemberMusic and entertainment on stage from 6.30pm, bonfire with fireworks display at 8pm. Plenty of food and drink stalls to choose plus small funfair rides for the kids!

Please be aware that the Watford v Chelsea game is a 5.30pm kick off, so the roads will be busier than normal.

There is NO PARKING in the Gade Avenue car park from 3pm, apart from a limited number of blue badge spaces, which are available on a first come first served basis. There are parking restrictions on surrounding roads to the park from 7am to 11pm, so you are advised to park in one of the public car parks in the town centre.
